It’s such an exciting week for two very special people. For Corey and Lisa it’s finally wedding week!! They will make the trip back up to PA and NY for their beautiful country club wedding on Friday and I could not be more excited. Really.
Corey was my very first friend when I arrived at Allegheny college. I met him with his huge culry bunch of hair and a warm Italian hug and I knew in the moment we had just become best friends. We shared a love of Tim Burton and Harry Potter, and he is a magnificent dancer. Lisa and I met a little later and I was insanely jealous of her. I mean here is this beautiful blonde with crazy long legs, super athletic (hello cross country) AND she love country music more than I do. Yup. She was the sweetest person I had ever met and it was then that the musketeers were formed. The three of us did pretty much everything together, and at the end of my short lived time at Allegheny I had an inkling of sorts. These two were going to get together and it would be a beautiful thing.
Fast forward to the day they got engaged. It was a very normal day for me and then Brett walks into our room and says have you talked to Lisa?? I said nope why? “You better go check Facebook.” So onto my phone I go and there it is, “Engaged” I don’t think I’ve ever felt that many emotions in such a short period of time. I Facetimed them until one of them answered because COME ON HOW DID I NOT KNOW? Apparently there was only 1 person who knew, Corey didn’t want to chance Lisa finding out since she’s basically a modern day Sherlock Holmes.
Here we are, months later and the week of their wedding. I get emotional thinking about it too much but I don’t think there are any 2 people that could be more perfect and in love with each other. I flew over to Chicago to surprise Lisa for her bridal shower and bachelorette party and soaked it all in! It was an amazing weekend, I even managed to do a tiny bit of shooting while there. Lisa’s MOH Mimi threw the cutest travel themed shower at the Harrison House in historical Naperville. It is so beautiful there and the host was the sweetest! Here’s a look at the afternoon.
If you’re ever in the Chicago/ Naperville area looking for a place to stay I highly recommend the Harrison House. Check them out here.
Lisa- these next few days will be full of craziness and last minute details, but know that at the end of it you will be a Mrs. to a man who loves you unconditionally, and irrevocably. I am so honored and blessed to be the third wheel to your wagon (as gross as it is sometimes) and a true friend. Thank you 🙂
Corey- you completely knocked it out of the park, Finding someone who is equally as awesome as you was pretty hard to do, but you did it. Thank you for being my best friend when I needed one the most, and knowing that Lisa is there to love you and take care of you makes me so happy.
I really couldn’t have picked them better myself (I mean I basically did but anyways)
Have a TERRIFIC Monday!
