I am so excited right now to be able to share this post with you. This has been in the works for months, and it all started as a normal, run of the mill idea for a styled shoot. I am a wedding photographer, so during the months that aren’t crazy busy I get bored. Really bored. I can only watch so many webinars or do so much work on my website. I needed something fresh and exciting to put together and spark my creative energy. Bring on the idea for a minimal, romantic wedding styled shoot. When the plans started I had no intention of opening this to other photographers, let alone turn it into a teaching workshop.
I have had education on my mind for a while now. Being the leader of the Tuesday’s Together Erie Group has brought a new love into my life, and that love is sharing information and education with others. I have wanted to share all that I know with those who are in the place I started, or maybe they’ve been at this a while and could use a refresh or an update. That’s how Styling With Sam was born! I love wedding day details. They are one of my favorite parts of a wedding. There’s something so emotional about the decisions that go into wedding details, specifically the bridal details. After some consideration, and hardcore hustle, the workshop began to take hold. I was so excited to put this together now for not only myself and my portfolio, but now for all of the other photographers who I would be sharing with. I could close my eyes and see their excited faces. I could see them taking notes and laughing with me, sharing so many hugs. I had no idea just how remarkable this would be.
I have to give a huge thanks to all of the vendors who helped me put this shoot together. The details were meticulously planned, and I even did a bit of DIY to make the most perfect floral backdrop. Our models completely nailed it, and they were the best troopers for holding those poses and faces for a few seconds longer than usual. I really can’t express enough how amazing this styled shoot was, and looking through these images I’m sure you’ll agree!
