Florals: Gwen and country petals
The warm summer breeze blew through my windows as I pulled into Whispering Trees Manor. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful summer day. The perfect day for Jessica and Brandon to get married. I had spent months getting to know them, spending time in the freezing cold snow for a short engagement session and countless emails back and forth. Jessica had everything planned and ready to go. As I walked up the stairs into the crowded bridal suite all I saw were smiles. Everyone was getting ready. I grabbed the box of details that Jess had saved for me and jumped into an empty room. I loved that she wore Kate Spade Keds. They are just the most sparkly, comfortable wedding shoes I have seen! Her gown was something out of a fairy tale. It was going to suit her perfectly.
As she got into her dress, the emotions of the day came upon me. There is always a moment during a wedding day that I come to terms with the fact that another one of my couples is saying I do and starting their life together. I get emotional-I’ll admit it. Its just so beautiful. I knew we were going to have a blast after the ceremony, and so we began to gather. The ceremony was beautiful. There was a moment that I’ll never forget, where the officiant asked Brandon and Jess to take a moment together and just look out into the crowd. To remember this moment where those who love them most came to witness this exchanging of vows and love. It was breathtaking.
We did a quick set of bridal party portraits, the sun was beating down on the afternoon and I wanted to wait for the subtle glow of evening light for some Mr. & Mrs. portraits. This bridal party was a blast you guys, really! Everyone was in good spirits even though the guys were probably sweating through their jackets. We laughed and walked forward and backward a few times. “I promise it’s really good for the photo”. I know people must think that I sound nuts sometimes but the things I ask really do look amazing.
The reception was in full swing, the stars had come out over the Whispering Trees Manor and we got everyone in line for a sparkler send off fit fora princess. It was so fun to see their faces lit up not only by the tiny fires, but with love for each other in their eyes. A perfect ending to a perfect day. Take a look!
I want to thank all of the vendors who helped make this wedding a dream come true, you guys all are amazing! Brandon and Jessica, you guys couldn’t have had a more perfect day. I am so happy I was able to share it with you and give you the gift of these moments. I am wishing you all of the best in your future together as husband and wife!
