Mr. & Mrs. Uhlig | A Sunny Edinboro Pennsylvania Winter Wedding

The bride to be was so calm, laughing with her girls and hanging out.  She had so much time built into her morning that she could really enjoy it.  I loved that.  The sun shone through the sliding glass doors, illuminating the room filled with hustle and bustle.  The hues of purple from the bridesmaids gowns were casting colorful lights on the floor and the cutest old man pup was wagging his tail as I walked in.

Kim and Josh planned their wedding for January, thinking there would be a gorgeous blanket of white across the fields.  The weather had other thoughts though, as so far the Pennsylvania winter had been mild.  It was sunny though, and the light was a beautiful crisp sign for what was to come.  As I photographed to purple invitation suite with some gorgeous details, I noticed the horses in the field got closer and closer.  They were so curious as to what was going on inside the house.

The ceremony was conveniently located across the street at the Edinboro VFW.  It was small enough to hold those they loved dearly, without being stuffed to capacity.  It felt so cozy.  The service was full of beautiful words. There wasn’t a dry eye in the building.

It was cold.  Very cold, but you wouldn’t really know by looking at the bridal party.  The groomsmen shared jackets and Kim had a beautiful cape to keep her warm.  The sun was setting over the hills as we ventured outside and I got to play with some of my favorite light.  The portraits of Kim and Josh are some of my favorites!

A big thank you to everyone who came together and made Kim and Josh’s wedding day a huge success!
