They stood on the dance floor as the DJ explained there was one more dedication. It was form Austin to his brand new bride. A hush fell over the room as he read words chosen carefully, and my eyes went right to Danielle’s face. Tears fell as she looked up into his eyes and he just held onto her.
There were moments during the day where I couldn’t help but shed a tear. However, there were also moments where everyone was laughing so hard. It was the best of both worlds. Let’s start at the beginning. I walked into the bed and breakfast to a load of laughter coming from upstairs. The stairs were ridiculously gorgeous and I made to sure to make a mental note of that. I found a room full of smiling ladies, and a very excited bride. I gave Danielle a hug and we started chatting about how the morning had been. There was a stink bug on the wall, and fruit on the bed, and I thought it was time to head into another room to start looking at details. I headed down the hallway and found a white bedroom! It was perfect. I opened the box of details and laid them all out. The bouquet immediately took my attention. The florals were WOOD! They were so beautiful and the colors matched the bridesmaid dresses/shawls perfectly. There was also a broach that was Danielle’s great grandmother’s, and buttons were all over the flowers. I had been given the little insight about what buttons meant to Danielle, as her grandfather had called her that. It was such a sweet little nod to them.
As Danielle got in her dress, the emotions started to set in. Mom had to fight back tears as she looked at her beautiful daughter as we waited for dad to come up the stairs. Daddy/Daughter first looks are some of my favorite moments and these guys really cemented that for me. They hugged and he told her how wonderful she looked. On the note of first looks, Austin was under the impression that he’d get a sneak peek at his bride before the ceremony. Everyone was in on this and when I found out what exactly was happening I couldn’t wait. Instead of Danielle, Austin would be turning around to see one of their good friends standing in front of him, wearing Danielle’s Mother’s wedding dress! He made a beautiful bride as well, and even though it could have been a sweet emotional moment, it made for a great memory.
