The skies were a perfect shade of grey. Weird to say that, but it was just bright enough for a mid-morning glow, and just dark enough to keep you from squinting. I knew some rain was coming our way, but I was prepped and excited to meet another SZP Couple. As I pulled into the parking lot on the bayfront, I looked around to take a mental note of the various locations we’d be utilizing. I wanted to make sure they matched the vision I had in my head. They definitely did. Hannah and Patrick climbed out of their car, smiling already. I had a feeling we’d hit it off instantly. As we said our hellos and walked into the warm dry hallway, I began to take note of little things. The way Patrick held the door open, the smiles they shared. It was adorable. We were but 5 minutes in and I could already see just how in love these two are. I always tell my couples that the first part of their session will be a little awkward. I mean how many times do you and your honey hang out with a photographer for 2 hours? If Patrick and Hannah felt awkward past the first 10 minutes, I had no idea.
We hung out around the Bayfront hotels, sneaking outside for a few umbrella shots. Hannah had just one request. She wanted a Game Of Thrones inspired photo to share with friends. I loved that, being an avid watcher of the series myself, and we made it happen! We took a short walk to the Convention Center, and after a quick outfit change we were back and ready to get cuddly and romantic! I always save my favorite cuddly poses after my couples have warmed up to me a bit. They trust me more, and are much more laid back to hold their sweetheart tightly.
Enjoy a quick peek at some of my favorite moments from Patrick & Hannah’s engagement session!
Hannah & Patrick- Thank you so much for sticking it out in the rain with me! I had a wonderful time getting to know you a bit better, and I cannot wait for your wedding day!
