I love proposal stories. They are one of my favorite parts of the engagement session. I usually wait until about halfway through to ask how it all went down, and Jeremy did not disappoint in their story!!
I met with Jessica and Jeremy Sunday evening. The sun was out in full force, spring had finally decided to stick around long enough in Erie that we had some blooms. I was excited to meet another one of my amazing couples in person. As they got out of the car, the first thing I noticed was how gorgeous they looked. Jessica rocked some killer nude heels that made my feet hurt just looking at. We chatted a bit as we walked to the front of the main campus building at Mercyhurst University. I later told them one of the reasons I loved it there so much was because it reminds me of Hogwarts, still not sure if that was a good idea or not!
After breaking the ice, laughing a bit at a student who sprinted from one side of campus to the other like he was late for something important, and an outfit change, we ended up at the Erie Art Museum. I need to applaud them for all to see on their outfit choices. I loved every one of them!! If you need an example on how to dress for your engagement session- just save this link really. It was then that I learned more about this proposal. Jessica and Jeremy have an adorable daughter, and she was celebrating turning 3 months old with some cute photos. Moms everywhere know that these photos are not only important, but a family affair. However, Jeremy had other plans. He told Jess that he would not be going with them for the portraits, but instead staying home. Now that maybe didn’t go over so well, and I can 100% relate to her emotions about this, but he really had the best reasoning. He was getting everything ready to propose when they got home. Obviously she didn’t stay unhappy for long, and now they laugh about it.
We walked around downtown Erie, and made it to the bayfront in time for some pretty evening glow. Enjoy some of my favorites from their session!
