Highschool sweethearts are rare and hard to come by. They are a true test of time and commitment, giving each other the most vulnerable years of their lives. I am so lucky to know that the new Mr. & Mrs. Robert Roche deserve nothing but that title.
It was a warm day, full of sunshine and hardly a cloud in the sky. I was so excited to pull up to the childhood home seconds from my own. Tabatha and I were friends in middle school and high school. We were in the marching band together, and even played in Drum core together. This day was going to be more emotional for me than I was prepared for. The hustle of a wedding day was in full force, people coming in and out. Times changing and arrivals being pushed forward or behind. I watched as Tabatha went from cool and collected to maybe a bit emotional and sentimental. The moment she slid into the beautiful lace fitted gown she was transformed into a bride. It was real. After almost 13 years it was finally here, the day that she had finally allowed herself to be excited for.
Robert stood nervous and ready to see his bride. We had been warned that there would be tears. I always mentally prepare myself for first look tears but nothing could prepare me for the overwhelming emotion that came form this one. It was like a scene from a movie. The way he stretched his arms out eager to wrap them around his almost wife. I had to breather through the seconds, counting each click to make sure I was in this moment with them.
Their ceremony was filled with beautiful moments and a confetti filled kiss. They even had their dogs as the ring bearers and there was a moment where one ran down the aisle right to mom and dad with the rings tied to his tux! Everything was so thought out and specific. It was beautiful and emotional and so perfect for them. Enjoy these moments that I was so honored to capture, including an amazing garter removal that is one for the books!
Tabatha & Robert- What can I even say? Thank you for opening your arms and hearts to me on your wedding day. Thank you for laughing with me when I cried during your first look or the speeches at dinner, for dancing with me during the party, and for being two amazing friends. I was so happy to be standing there with you in front of everyone you hold dearest. I want to wish you both an eternity of happiness and love that will withstand whatever life throws at you.
I also want to thank the most amazing team of vendors that I’ve worked with in a while! The day of team was so strong as so much fun!
