They say that when it’s meant to be, it will be. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that statement and sort of just went with it. After this past weekend though, I know what that statement looks like and I can honestly say it’s 100% true.
Jared and Elizabeth had quite the roller coaster ride with their wedding day plans. Their original venue cancelled on them last minute. Yup you read that right, the venue canceled on them! Elizabeth called me with numerous new plans and she was ready to go! Allow me to pause here and tell you all just how proud I am of all of my 2020 couples. This hasn’t been easy or enjoyable in the slightest and all of my couples are just knocking it out of the park.
As you do your scrolling through this post, you’ll notice the cutest flower dog that you’ve ever likely seen. That’s Odin. He seriously stole the show and Elizabeth even did a first look with him. So cute! While we’re talking about our beautiful bride can we all take a moment to agree that that she looked AMAZING in her Grace Loves Lace gown, with shoulder veils and a hat to match! She brought them out after their first look and I was FLOORED! I think shoulder veils need to become a more common thing.
Jared was looking mighty dapper in his suspenders as we walked down for their first look. We decided to do a different kind of first look and I enjoyed it very much. They each wrote letters to each other that they wanted to read right before the first look. So, I stuck them a few rows of grapes apart and we got to it! It was so sweet to be able to watch them both react to the letters at the same time, and I couldn’t help but get a little misty behind the camera. After they were ready, I had them both step out of the vines and take it all in. I love when my grooms get emotional. I think it really just seals the deal. Jared didn’t disappoint and later on he even told me he was so glad they decided to do the first look. Cue all of my exciting dance moves here!
Enjoy a look at The Giddy’s beautiful 4th of July wedding, it may have been a last minute plans but sometimes the best of plans come after panic and quick thinking.
