Pittsburgh cookie tables, puppy guests, and baseball ticket giveaways. Those are just a few of the things I was able to watch and capture for this new Mr. & Mrs.
I walked into the hotel room and found a fairly quiet crew of ladies. I soon found out that they were going to be one of the chillest, most go with the flow wedding parties ever. We chatted, laughed, talked about my fear of heights from their engagement session (which you can see here), and I snapped away. Then there was a knock at the door. Lucy was here!! Lucy is Steph and Bryan’s puppy, and oh my gosh was she the cutest. She hung out, sniffing around and chasing balloons until it was time to get ready to go. We had to pause for a few bridal prep photos, featuring the best Dunkin’ Donuts robe and cup for Steph. Honestly I am a big fan and wouldn’t have wanted anything else for her.
We had a super sweet first look with Steph’s dad outside of the beautiful St. Patrick’s church in downtown Erie, and off we went to the ceremony. That walk down the aisle was one of the most emotional I’ve seen this year and I was holding y camera up to hide my own tears. There’s just something about when an almost spouse sees their partner coming down the aisle and they can’t help but cry. Gets me every time.
We partied from the ceremony all the way until the surprise flashlight dance that the amazing Josh Bennet of Lake Erie Events set up. Seriously it was so cool to have all the lights out and just see this swarm of phone lights surround the couple. Also during the reception, a heartfelt mother son dance that didn’t leave. single eye dry. Not one. Then an announcement was made during a Michael Jackson song. whoever came out and did their best MJ dance moves would win tickets to a Seawolves game from the couple! How fun right? Bryan and Steph LOVE baseball and so this was a perfect little gift from them to one lucky dancer. We got one fabulous moonwalk as the winner. Everyone was having so much fun, munching on cookies from the giant Pittsburgh Cookie Table, dancing it up on the floor, and laughing with the new Mr. & Mrs. It truly was an amazing day and I love being able to share just a taste of it with you all. Enjoy!
A BIG thanks to all the friends and family who helped make this day as special as it was but a special thanks to this amazing crew of vendors!
