When you open your inbox and read a story that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, that’s when you know. Cielo not only gave me all the feels, but she knew exactly what she wanted in her wedding photographer. Someone who was detail oriented, and who she’d feel confident would take care of everything on their day. That indeed was me and I couldn’t be happier.
Ian & Cielo’s engagement session will forever hold a special place in my portfolio. I remember the messages leading up to the session, and her worrying that she did too much. Never. We had a picnic on the beach with a stellar charcuterie board (that Cielo did herself!) and some champagne, and it was perfect. Little did I know, this was just a taste of what their wedding would look like.
I arrived on a sunny Saturday, drove up the gorgeous drive to the private family residence that would hold the days’ festivities. I thought the front was beautiful but wowza when I went around back. I can only describe the moment as magical, because that ‘s what I felt. The gardens were immaculate, flowers everywhere and organized in the most beautiful way that led down to the ceremony site. It took me a few moments to even see the big white tent for the reception because I was in awe!
This day was full of so many thought out details and moments, and I want to share them all with you. I don’t however, want to drone on and on when I can just show you. So that’s what we’re going to do. Ian & Cielo planned and executed the wedding of their dreams, and I know first hand that they had the most amazing day filled with memories that will last forever. There were smiles and tears, dances and music that was more special than I’ve ever seen (Ian composed and produced the song Cielo walked down t he aisle to). It was truly what loves looks like everywhere I turned.
I hope you feel that as you scroll through these images. I won’t apologize for the size of this blog post, but I will praise you if you make it to the end!
